tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-90290797347519446892024-03-07T23:23:58.096-08:00The life of Izzy & Gabe: raising preemie twinsDesireehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03225949470609398230noreply@blogger.comBlogger1125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9029079734751944689.post-54861417302279432002010-10-02T13:05:00.000-07:002010-10-02T13:05:28.605-07:00In the beginning…<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">In a few days Isabelle and Gabriel Kraft will be 1 month old.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>It is incredibly hard for me to believe this much time has passed since their birth on <date day="8" ls="trans" month="9" w:st="on" year="2010">September 8, 2010</date> at 4:52-4:53 a.m.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Our life has been incredibly busy and I can barely remember the events that transpired yesterday, much less the events of the last few weeks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Moreover, I know we have a lot of friends and family across the country that are anxiously waiting for updates on the health of Isabelle and Gabriel.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now that Isabelle and Gabriel are at two different hospitals, Matt and I have a hard time keeping up with visiting each baby a couple times a day and the daily phone calls from their respective doctors.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Consequently, I have decided to start writing a blog on the journey that is raising premature twin babies in the NICU.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I hope this blog ends up serving multiple functions: 1) keep family updated on Isabelle and Gabriel’s progress, 2) a therapeutic journal to help us through the ups and downs associated with life in the NICU, and 3) a written documentary of the pitfalls and triumphs of the early years of Isabelle and Gabriel’s life.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>We hope it is something they can read and reflect upon later in life.</div>Desireehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03225949470609398230noreply@blogger.com1
